About Us

Hello!  We are a husband and wife duo who met when a mutual friend asked us both to play in a band for a prayer night.  We liked each other, but we barely said two words between us that first night.  But that soon changed.

Today, we are very happily married and living in Orange County, CA together in our darling (but tiny) one-bedroom place.  Joel says that he is a "homebody", but he secretly loves to get out whenever possible and has traveled all over the world.  I (Hilary) love to travel, and if it were up to me we would go on "day adventures" every week.

This is our journal of places new to us, but also old and dear.  We treasure being home.  We like to find places that are off the beaten path to settle down in and read a good book, but we also know that sometimes people flock to a place for a special reason.  We love music and food, sunsets and winter skies.

We're just in search of those moments that make you breathe in a little longer and say, "Wow!"
